Dr. Maxson is the Medical Director for the Center for Digestive Health at Jupiter Medical Center.

Chester J. Maxson, M.D., is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, completed an internship and residency at the Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), Dr. Maxson served as Chief of Staff at Jupiter Medical Center from 2005 - 2008 and has been named one of the Top Doctors in Palm Beach County from 2008 – 2017. On staff at Jupiter Medical Center since 1997, Dr. Maxson currently serves as Medical Director of Jupiter Medical Center’s Frenchman’s Creek Digestive Health Center.

Married with two children, his daughter Kathryn is working towards her PhD in Genomic Public Policy at Princeton University and his son Joey earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine at Georgetown University and is working at a large sports agency in New York City. Dr. Maxson enjoys coaching basketball, playing golf and traveling.
