The Concierge Care Difference

What is Concierge Care?

Concierge medicine is a subscription-based service offering around-the-clock physician access, same-day appointments, and highly personalized, comprehensive care. Jupiter Medical Center’s Concierge Care physician, Dr. Nichole Corry, takes a holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing prevention, overall wellness and maximizing health throughout your lifespan.

What are the benefits of concierge medicine?

Physicians who offer concierge care aren’t limited by the time constraints of typical practices. Appointments last longer, so that the patient feels heard and the physician can gather all of the information they need to develop an individualized, highly effective care plan. Longer, unhurried appointments help patients feel more comfortable with sharing their health concerns with their physician, and allow the physician-patient relationship time to grow.

Why is the focus on prevention so important?

Preventive care helps you stay healthy and identify health issues early, before they have fully developed and when treatments may be most likely to be effective. Some conditions, including heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure, may be treatable through lifestyle interventions, potentially avoiding the need for medications or other treatments. Your concierge physician monitors your overall health and wellness, so that any problems can be addressed promptly and ideally avoided.

What makes concierge care different?

There are several ways a concierge practice differs from a typical primary care practice. Accessibility to your physician is one. Dr. Corry can be reached via text, email, or phone. You can see her in-person for a same-day appointment, or via video for a virtual appointment.

Time with your physician is another. Your concierge physician may see 6 to 8 patients daily, compared to 20 to 24 patients a typical primary care physician sees. This allows the concierge physician to take as much time with each patient as needed.

Focusing on the patient experience is our priority. Dr. Corry’s patients can expect excellence in every aspect of their healthcare experience, from the ease of getting in touch with your personal doctor to the peace of mind knowing that your health is in good hands.

What to Expect From a Concierge Appointment

How can I engage with my personal physician?

Your personal physician is available 24/7. There are many ways to engage Dr. Corry, including by email, text or phone. Telehealth visits are also available. If you are traveling or would prefer to have a consultation with your physician from the comfort of home, you can “see” Dr. Corry via a video chat. If you want an in-person visit, you can schedule a same-day appointment with little to no waiting.

What does 24/7 access mean?

Imagine you woke up in the middle of the night feeling ill. Instead of going to urgent care or the emergency room, you can get on a call or a telehealth visit with your concierge physician directly. She can provide medical advice, call in a prescription and make sure you get in for a follow-up visit right away.

Will my concierge physician coordinate with specialists?

A concierge physician is like the quarterback for your healthcare team. For patients dealing with pre-existing chronic conditions or newly diagnosed health issues, Dr. Corry will assist with referrals to specialists or coordinating with specialists you have already seen, ensuring your care is seamless and comprehensive. By coordinating your care, Dr. Corry can make sure specialists are collaborating with each other to ensure that you get the best, most effective treatment possible.

How much does Concierge Care cost?

There is an annual membership fee that covers services that insurance will not cover, such as comprehensive executive physicals, health promotion, and increased access to your personal physician. Additional fees for appointments, services and tests can be processed through your insurance company, similar to a traditional primary care practice. Please call our office for current membership fees.

Does insurance pay for the concierge care membership fee?

The annual membership fee is not covered by insurance. However, services and tests can be processed through your insurance company, similar to a traditional primary care practice.
