Critical Acclaim for Our Safety Measures

Jupiter Medical Earns Top Hospital Recognition

Our commitment to patient safety was recently recognized by the watchdog organization widely acknowledged as defining the highest standards in hospital safety and quality. National nonprofit, the Leapfrog Group has recognized Jupiter Medical Center with its Top Hospital Award, one of the most competitive distinctions that hospitals can receive. More than 2,200 hospitals throughout the U.S. were considered for the award in the categories of Top Children’s Hospital, General, Rural or Teaching. Jupiter Medical Center was one of just 46 hospitals in the nation named Top Hospital in the General category. The quality of care across many measures of hospital performance is consider in establishing the qualifications for the aware, including infection rates, surgery, maternity care and the hospital’s ability to prevent medical errors.

Industry Leading Risk Adjusted Mortality

Quantros, a leading provider of software solutions that advance health care quality and safety, ranked Jupiter Medical Center one of the top performing hospitals in the country in a crucial category: risk-adjusted mortality. This is a ratio of the observed number of in-hospital deaths to the number expected, based on the hospital's case mix. Jupiter Medical Center performed better than 99.4 percent of hospitals in Florida and, in a coast-to-coast comparison, outperformed 99.9 percent of the hospitals across the U.S.
